Accepting our social responsibility is the second pillar of our sustainable development strategy. Diversity and gender equality are also among our top priorities.

Our employees

All over the world, across all our businesses, our 76,000 employees work hard each and every day to embody the values of openness and diversity that are part of our and our brands' DNA. They offer premium, efficient, and safe services by building long-lasting and caring relationships with our customers.

Air France-KLM is committed to its employees. The Group invests in training to ensure that all employees have an equal level of expertise, and to give them the opportunity to develop their skills further.

We are committed to developing the use of digital tools to enable all employees to exceed customer expectations. Our relationship with our employees is based on the values of trust, respect, transparency, and confidentiality.

Air France-KLM Principles

The Principles apply to all employees in the Air France-KLM Group, including those on part-time or temporary contracts. They serve as a shared foundation for all the companies within the Group and support new initiatives, procedures, rules, and Codes of Conduct. The Air France-KLM Principles apply to all the Group’s stakeholders, irrespective of their form.

The Group encourages all its customers, shareholders, business partners and local communities to respect them.

Diversity and inclusion
Description

We believe that having an effective diversity and inclusion policy is essential for the well-being of all employees within the company, and that it has a positive impact on the performance of the organisation.

We make sure that jobs with the Air France-KLM Group are accessible to all by applying three fundamental principles :

Promoting gender equality

2030 target :

  • 33% of women on the Group's Executive Committee
  • 40% of the top 10% management-level positions occupied by women

In the long term, we are aiming for full gender parity in these two categories.

Respecting gender identities

The Group's commitment to fighting against all forms of discrimination is reflected in the implementation of numerous meaningful actions, such as the signing of several commitment charters, the implementation of an internal programme in 2020 ("Inclusive Ally"), and the organisation of a road show in 2021 ("Pride road show").

Welcoming people with disabilities

The Group continues to apply our policy of supporting the employment of people with disabilities, both internally and with its suppliers, despite the contextual challenges that this may pose.

We do this by engaging with numerous associations and educational programs for young people (for Air France via Airemploi, Jeremy, AFMAé, and Ingénieurs pour l'École; and for KLM via ROC education centres, Luchtvaart College Schiphol, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, and the JINC foundation).

Reducing our noise footprint

Acoustic performance is part of the "Air France-KLM Principles" and represents a major challenge for our Group companies. Our noise footprint has been reduced by nearly 40% compared to the early 2000s, despite the massive increase in the amount of aircraft movement over the same period.
